How to Clean Your Make Up Brushes

I view cleaning my brushes as a new beginning, I get all the old dirty make up out of them, my white brushes end up being white again, my breakouts seem to "magically" stop afterwards and my eye shadows don't mix together. This is something that is essential to keep your products and face clean, but it's made out to look a lot harder than it actually is so let me break it down for you nice and simple. You will need...

  • Paper Towels
  • Mild or baby shampoo
  • water
  • your dirty brushes

The clean up:
  • Start with the smaller eye and face brushes as they use less soap, and work your way up to the bigger fluffier brushes
  • Pour a small amount of the shampoo into the palm of your hand take your brush and swirl it in there. you can swirl the brush up your forearm to see the brush actually getting clean and leaving the product behind
  • hold the brush bristles down and rinse it, your hand and/or arm and repeat if necessary
Drying:
  • Take a couple brushes at a time and squeeze the excess water out with the paper towels, be careful to not squeeze too hard
  • afterwards store them bristles down so water doesn't get into the fennel and loosen the glue and give them a good 8 hours to dry (over night is best)
I hope this makes brush cleaning easier for you guys, thanks for reading!

Favorite Fall Nail Polish Colors

In my constant pursuit of bringing autumn into Florida I have a little collection of nail polishes that I love to  wear every year that makes it feel a little more like Fall.

Starting from the index finger

Sally Hansen Diamond Strength No Chip Nail Color- This is in 460 Save the Date and it's a really nice plum color with small shimmer bits

Mark- Saffron. burnt gold. lovely. moving on

Mark- (haha these two came in a little sample box and I love them both) This one is called Mint Tea. Olive green. gorgeous.

Lastly I have a CHI nail polish and I have no clue if they still make nail polishes because I got this at the GoodWill Oops.  it's one of my favorites called Late Night Dinner In Soho, an amazing navy and  if I'm ever in Soho SOMEONE PLEASE remind me to wear this nail polish regardless of season.

The color of the polish and the color of the print on the bottle don't mix :(

What are your favorite nail polishes for fall ? Xx Lazylittleliz

High Contrast and Pastels

Taking inspiration from the street style of NYFW l way back in February, I forgot how much I loved high contrast and mixing them with pastel colors it was a cool concept.

This outfit I like to call the "relationship" the dress is very girly and lovely. The bold contrast, structure and halter neck line gives it a bit of a 60's edge. The cardigan is a boyfriend style, it is  relaxed and the pale green softens it even more. I paired these with simple black flats there is enough going on up top.
Thank you to my friend Chance (juju) for taking the full length shots.
Thank you love you lots!

Dress: Papaya

Cardigan: J Crew

Disney, Plaid, and White Converse

I love Disney, plaid, and my converse,  so  I found a way to wear all three at the same time. This is a more grungy look than I am used to and I really liked how.it came out. This is a good way to wear a crop top without it being too obvious, pair it with a skater skirt or a high wasted skirt so the belly button is covered up and its a lot more forgiving plus its Disney. Any pattern for the skirt  would have worked but I couldn't resist the plaid. Since it seems to be a new trend, I love this skirt,  and I was at school why not . Lastly I wore white converse and I look at it as an added stress. I love them don't get me wrong but since they are stark white I am always super careful to avoid not walking on a side walk or an unclean surface. I'm really happy my black converse were drying from the wash because the white  added brightness to what is a darker outfit for me.
Crop top: Forever 21

Skirt: Ross

Shoes (shock horror): Converse

Besides this being a cute outfit it is amazingly comfortable and perfect for school, also editing the top picture I never knew my hair was a brownish color at the tips that's awesome!

New beginnings and Miami haul!

Since my last overly dramatic post ( blame the teenage angst) I got a new phone with an AMAZING camera. It came just in time for my weekend in Miami so of course I'm going to test it out A LOT.

Let's start with the most expensive because the Dash Miami store is ridiculous I got the 2 cheapest items because there was no way I was going to track this store down and leaving empty handed. The lipgloss is actually really lovely and the beenie is a beenie its a little warm for the Floridian weather but hopefully I'll get some use out of it.

Then on Calle Ocho is wear I found the best thing ever..... SHOES! I got 3 pairs, 2 pairs of fake suede wedges ( I'm "sharing" them with my sister) and then these black wedge sandals with a pop of color on the front strap. Now I'm not used to having sandals like these so I do have to practice around the house but I live in eternal heat so I wont be missing out.

After this trip I am ready to take on college, I'm happy to be back with this new amazing camera just in time for fall Xx Lazylittleliz
